I have put away the fuelcell tutorial, its not very good to start from in my opinion.
Therefore i went googeling again, and found one which goes deep into terrain, walking that through now.
Havent got much to show yet, but still, doing my best at the moment and i am currently at step 7, terrains basics.
Yet i would like to ask to the people reading and knowing the game Beasts and Bumpkins, would you like to see elements added to the game, or keep the game the same as it was.
Like resources, Use only gold or also use wood and ore?
All suggestions will be welcome

Making it a top-down game
Well, we have made it work.
Right now the game is a true top-down strategy game!
No not really, still missing a lot of aspects.
But just testing around, messing with the speeds can make a lot of fun!
However for this post, i have just kept the speeds origional.
Take a look at the movie for a current look of the beginning.

First small tests
After being busy with the FuelCell tutorial stated before i've also been trying out some new stuff.
I have already tried to make it more of a Top-Down game like the game Peasant Life will be
You can see the result in the video below.
Remember, this is just a small test video.

First studies
A long time ago i was playing beasts and bumpkins, a very enteraining game, however, very old.
As i am a programmer, i was looking into developing something new for this, a game based on the same idea.
For now i am taking a look into XNA4.0 and walking through the FuelCell tutorial to get my first knowledge up and running.
After this i am going to look into making a top-down simple game with some simple AI.
More to come....
